Mary Jane has developed and managed integrated communications programs during mergers, reorganizations and repositioning. An accomplished writer, Mary Jane is experienced aligning and phasing communications with business goals. She has held senior communications positions at General Signal Corporation, Hill & Knowlton and The Rockefeller Foundation; her consulting clients have included Colgate-Palmolive, Aetna, Johnson & Johnson, New York Medical College, Philip Morris, United Technologies and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Her accomplishments include:
- Managing advocacy campaigns that built public support for renewable energy development in California and Colorado.
- Leading communications for an NYSE-listed company during a period of reorganization and management transition that repositioned the company from holding company to world-class manufacturer.
- Managing a multi-phased executive communications campaign that convinced healthcare executives to support investment in the company’s information technology infrastructure.
- Managing media relations for one of the world’s leading foundations, introducing a new president and ground-breaking initiatives in the arts, education reform and environmental science.
Mary Jane holds a B.A. in English Literature and Secondary Education from the University of Virginia.
